TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to the Palestinian Wafa news agency, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Saturday once again called on the countries of the world to recognize Palestine as an independent state.
He made these remarks at the International Socialism Conference held in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
Sanchez stressed that the occupation of Israel must end and allowed the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Quds as its capital within the framework of a two-state solution.
He also stressed the need to end the siege and the humanitarian problems of the Palestinians and called for international cooperation to deal with the crises.
Spain officially recognized the state of Palestine last May, calling this action in line with UN resolutions and a step towards achieving peace.
Currently, 144 UN member states have recognized Palestine as an independent state, and Palestine has embassies and representatives in 95 countries.
This action by Spain and some European countries such as Ireland and Norway has angered the Zionist regime's officials.
