TEHRAN (Defapress) - In the second phase of the 1403 Air Defense Power Maneuver, after hypothetical enemy aircraft attacked the general area of the exercise, the targets were detected by radar systems. Immediately after being identified by the integrated air defense network, they were assigned to the Joshan missile system, and the hostile target was successfully shot down with a missile launch from the Joshan system.
According to this report, the Joshan missile system, utilizing a powerful passive radar, can detect targets without emitting radar signals and destroy them by guiding the missile toward the target. In addition to providing an agility advantage for missile systems, the use of passive radar systems makes it more difficult for the enemy to locate this system.
