TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, senior Hamas official Bassem Naim, in an interview with AFP, stated that engaging in negotiations or discussing new ceasefire proposals is "pointless as long as the war of starvation and annihilation persists in Gaza."
He urged the international community to "pressure Netanyahu’s government to halt the crimes of starvation, deprivation, and slaughter" in the besieged enclave.
Naim’s remarks follow Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement that Gaza’s population "will be relocated" during an impending military operation. The appeal also comes amid worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza after 65 days of a severe blockade.
