TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, the news agency affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers' Party of Turkey, the "P. K. K.", announced the dissolution of the party.
Kurdish media also reported that the Kurdistan Workers' Party of Turkey has been dissolved and that the armed actions of its members against Turkey and all its activities will end.
The extraordinary congress of the party also issued a statement stating that the problems and issues related to the Kurds can be solved through political methods.
The statement continued: Accordingly, the "P. K. K." Congress has decided to dissolve its organizational structure and end armed methods.
Earlier, Abdullah Ocalan, the leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party of Turkey, known as the "P. K. K.", had issued a statement calling for the disarmament and dissolution of this armed group. The statement sparked widespread reactions around the world and promised an end to one of the longest-armed conflicts.
