The World's Inaction Towards the Siege of Gaza

The world's silence and inaction towards the siege of the Gaza Strip and the crimes of the Zionist regime against the Palestinians, especially the people of Gaza, has caused this occupying and child-killing regime to increase the scope of its crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people day by day.

TEHRAN (Defapress) - As the Israeli regime's siege on the Gaza Strip enters its 21st month, the silence of international institutions has emboldened this regime to continue its bloody massacre of Palestinians, particularly Gazans, with complete impunity. The Tel Aviv authorities have never shown the slightest concern about being held accountable by international organizations.

The World's Inaction Towards the Siege of Gaza

While the Israeli regime's crimes continue unabated, its military has recently launched a large-scale operation in Gaza alongside maintaining the blockade. According to Israeli media reports, all infantry and armored brigades of this regime have now entered the coastal enclave. Available reports indicate that the Israeli army aims to occupy three-quarters of the already besieged Gaza Strip within a short timeframe.

The Zionist newspaper, Times of Israel, citing Israeli military officials, reported that the occupation of 75% of the coastal area would take just two months under these plans. So far, the army controls about 40% of this territory. The Wall Street Journal also reported that Palestinian civilians are to be confined to one-quarter of the coastal area, allowing the Zionist regime complete control over Gaza.

But this isn't the end of the story. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently announced the occupying regime's decision to fully occupy Gaza. Given the Zionist regime's historical treatment of Palestinians and Gazans, it clearly intends to permanently occupy Gaza and forcibly transfer its entire population elsewhere.

This explains why Gaza has remained under Israeli military siege for over 20 months. The intensifying attacks by this illegitimate occupying army align with its scorched-earth policy to empty Gaza of its inhabitants, ultimately aiming to build new Zionist settlements and populate the strip with Zionist settlers.

A crucial factor enabling this siege is America's unconditional support for Tel Aviv. Without Washington's backing, the Israeli authorities could never have maintained Gaza under such brutal blockade for over 20 months while continuously attacking its various areas.

We must not overlook that the siege aims to break Palestinian resistance. The child-killing occupation regime seeks to force Gazans,  deprived of water, food, medicine, and fuel, to abandon their homeland. Simultaneously, Israel advances its "Gaza Without Palestinians" project while desperately trying to hide its genocidal crimes from the world.

The tragic reality is that the continued siege and relentless Israeli airstrikes have left Gazans facing severe shortages and starvation. About 90% of Gaza's population now survives on just one meal daily, while 65,000 children face death from acute malnutrition and famine. Hospitals without power or medicines watch helplessly as children and patients die gradually.

In conclusion, the Israeli regime's siege of Gaza constitutes a crime against humanity. History will never forgive this shameful global inaction. All governmental and non-governmental groups must mobilize worldwide through protests and demonstrations to pressure these criminal officials, forcing them to end both the siege and the massacre of Gaza's people.
