TEHRAN (Defapress) - Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, spoke with Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, by telephone.
In this conversation, while reviewing the latest developments in the field of nuclear negotiations and the lifting of sanctions, the two sides also discussed the Agency's newly published report on Iran.
Referring to Iran's continuous cooperation with the Agency, carrying out all of Iran's nuclear activities under the supervision of the Agency and within the framework of the Safeguards Agreement, as well as the non-diversion of nuclear activities and materials, Iran's Foreign Minister called on the Agency's Director General to reflect the facts in a way that does not provide an opportunity for some parties to misuse this international institution to advance their political goals against the Iranian nation.
The Foreign Minister of Iran also asked the Director General of the Agency to explain Iran's cooperation with the Agency during the meeting of the Board of Governors next week, and to point out the consequences of any political action, because Iran will respond appropriately to any inappropriate move by the European parties, the responsibility for the consequences and effects of which lies with the parties that use the Agency and its arrangements as a tool to advance their political agendas against Iran.
