Iran Reserves All Options to Defend Its Sovereignty and People
Araghchi said all members of the U.N. must be alarmed about U.S. “extremely dangerous, lawless, and criminal behavior” of attacking Iranian nuclear facilities.
TEHRAN (Defapress) - Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of Iran, wrote on his X account: The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the U.N. Charter, international law and the Non-Proliferation Treaty (N.P.T.) by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations.
“The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences,” he said.
The top diplomat noted, “Each and every member of the U.N. must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior.”
In accordance with the U.N. Charter and its provisions allowing a legitimate response in self-defense, he said, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people.
