Damaged Air Defense Systems Were Replaced

TEHRAN (Defapress) - In an interview with Defapress correpsondent, Rear Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, Deputy Chief of Iran's Army for Operations of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, referred to the achievements of the armed forces and the Islamic Republic of Iran Army in the 12-day Sacred Defense and stated: “In this imposed war, the first actions of the Zionist enemy were against the country’s radar and defense systems, and our comrades in the Air Defense Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army were at the systems day and night and confronted the enemy.”

Referring to the crimes of the Zionist regime in this war, Rear Admiral Mousavi added: “The criminal Zionist regime carried out a cowardly invasion of Iranian soil and pursued certain goals from this invasion.”

TheDeputy Chief of Iran's Army for Operations pointed to the capability of the air defense in securing the country’s skies and stated: “The Zionist enemy sought to destroy Iran’s defense capabilities, and some of our defense systems were damaged in this war; But with the efforts of my comrades, the damaged systems were replaced and deployed in predetermined locations.

He continued: We were able to cover the country's airspace and ensure the security of dear Iran's airspace by utilizing the existing systems and replacing them with new ones; therefore, the enemy was unable to achieve its goals despite its desperate efforts.

Admiral Mousavi stated that the Zionist enemy did not enter the war alone and that the United States and NATO helped him, and said: The capacity of the Iranian armed forces is beyond what the illegitimate Zionist regime can confront; but the supporters of the usurper regime helped this regime by collecting information months ago, and we consider the United States to be complicit in the Zionist regime's crime.

The Deputy Chief of Iran's Army for Operations noted: "The Iranian nation, alongside the armed forces, showed that their unity and integrity are indissoluble, and just like during the eight years of sacred defense, in this war we showed that the enemy cannot achieve anything when confronting Iran."
