TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Zionist Takfiri terrorists of ISIS have been actively operating in the West Asia region for over a decade. The activities of these terrorists began in Syria's "Raqqa" province and gradually spread across Syria, then engulfed vast parts of Iraq. However, between 2015 and 2017, the advance of ISIS was halted with the help of the Syrian and Iraqi armies, popular forces, and the consultancy role of IRGC Quds Force commanders. Ultimately, within a short period, the late Major General Qasem Soleimani announced the destruction of ISIS's central rule in Iraq and Syria.

The Iron Fist of the IRGC Ground Force Against Terrorists

An important point here is the destruction of ISIS's governance, not its ideology or elements. Members of ISIS remain present in various countries, including Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, carrying out terrorist acts from time to time.

These terrorists, whose main stronghold in Iraq is in the provinces of Saladin, Al-Anbar, and Diyala, have attempted in recent years to infiltrate Iran through its western borders and provinces adjacent to Iraq, such as Diyala, to create instability. However, they have failed each time. The reason for this failure lies in the strong presence of the IRGC Ground Force, the Najaf Ashraf Strategic Headquarters, the Ansar al-Rasoul Special Brigade, and the Imam Mahdi Brigade (AJ), which have thwarted the enemy's plots.

The IRGC Ground Force, with its numerous military bases along the country's western borders, monitors the operations of the American-Zionist enemy and their mercenary terrorists, and deals with them firmly should they enter Iranian territory.

The focal point for the infiltration attempts of the Zionist Takfiri ISIS terrorists is the Ezgeleh district in Kermanshah province. Every time these terrorists have tried to enter the country, they have faced a harsh response from the IRGC Ground Force.

The Iron Fist of the IRGC Ground Force Against Terrorists

Major General Mohammad Pakpour, the IRGC Ground Force commander, stated in this regard: "In 2017, a 21-member Takfiri terrorist group intended to carry out suicide operations in this area, but due to the vigilance of the IRGC Ground Force fighters, five of them were killed, and the rest were arrested."

He added: "This region (Ezgeleh and Bamou Heights) also borders Diyala province, which is a breeding ground for Takfiri terrorists and was once one of the most infested areas in terms of terrorist presence. There is a possibility of these areas (Bamou) being compromised, which is why we have stationed our units there as well."

Field reports indicate that the IRGC Ground Force has been highly successful in reinforcing its fortifications in the western regions of the country, particularly in the strategic Bamou Heights, which is also close to a U.S. military base in Iraq. With sufficient equipment and capabilities, it monitors the U.S. military bases near Iran's borders, as well as the mercenaries of the Zionist regime across the borders. Any hostile action against Iran will be met with a severe and crushing response from the armed forces of the Islamic Republic, including the IRGC Ground Force.

Major General Pakpour stated: "Any threat or aggression against the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be met with a firm and decisive response from our armed forces."

Referring to the IRGC Ground Force's capabilities in countering any threat, he added: "Our readiness to defend the country is at the highest level, and securing the borders is the top priority of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps."

The focal point for Takfiri terrorists attempting to enter Kermanshah is the Ezgeleh region. ISIS terrorists, instigated by foreign security services, try to infiltrate the country from this area to carry out sabotage. However, as General Pakpour noted, such attempts will be met with Iran's strong response.

It appears that due to the measures taken by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic, including the Army and the IRGC, no opening remains for terrorists to infiltrate and carry out large-scale sabotage. The field commanders of the IRGC Ground Force vigilantly monitor the actions of the U.S. military and its mercenaries, confronting them decisively if they take any hostile steps, as seen in 2017, when the IRGC Ground Force arrested 16 suicide terrorists and eliminated 5 of them.
