TEHRAN (Defapress) - Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of Iran, speaking at a brainstorming session between officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and guests of the 39th International Islamic Unity Conference, stated: "The unity of the Islamic world is not merely a positive ideal or a recommended action; rather, today it is a definitive necessity and a religious obligation. The current conditions of the Islamic Ummah necessitate that we consider unity not just a duty but a choice."

Enemies Realized That There Is No Military Solution to the Iran Issue

Araghchi added: "To achieve unity among Islamic countries, it is necessary to utilize the vast opportunities and capacities of the Islamic world. If the 1.5 billion-strong Muslim Ummah unites, it can activate great capacities and contribute to the growth, progress, and elevation of the Islamic world."

The Foreign Minister continued: "The identity and unity of the Islamic world are targeted today more than ever before, and the power of Muslims is under attack; a threat which, in my belief, has never been this dangerous in the past and is supported in various forms by Western, European, and American countries."

He noted: "While we celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), we must not forget that our sisters and brothers in Palestine, and especially in Gaza, are subjected to a blatant genocide every day."

Araghchi added: "The Zionist regime, using hunger as a weapon, is pressuring defenseless people and even attacking those who are trying to receive a small amount of food. These actions are clear examples of war crimes and are beyond imagination. No red line remains for this regime, and it has committed every crime."

The Foreign Minister stated: "Despite technological advancements making the world aware of the details of these crimes and allowing us to witness them happening on live television broadcasts, many countries remain silent. It is a source of regret for the Islamic world that it does not show an appropriate reaction to such atrocities. There is no solution but unity to confront this threat, and this threat will certainly not be limited to Palestine. As we have witnessed, its effects are evident in Lebanon, Syria, and even in attacks against Iran."

In the continuation of his remarks, he said: "Countries in the region have now concluded that the threat of the Zionist regime is not limited to one point but targets the entire region and the Islamic world."

Araghchi emphasized: "The Zionists seek division, weakness, and the fragmentation of the Islamic Ummah, and matters have reached a point where they are once again openly promoting the idea of 'Greater Israel'."

The Foreign Minister continued: "One of the positive outcomes of the heroic resistance of the Palestinian people and the imposition of various wars on Syria and Iran has been that the truth about the main threat to the region has become clear to everyone."

He noted: "For years, efforts were made to portray Iran as the threat, but today the reality has been revealed, and regional countries have realized that Iran was right; the main enemy is Zionism. Now, cooperation between regional countries and the Islamic Republic of Iran is growing and enhancing, and Iran is recognized as a true friend and supporter of Muslims and the nations of the region."

The Zionist regime is the main threat to the region

Araghchi added: "The Zionist regime is today the main threat to the region, and the extent of the crimes it has committed in Gaza and Lebanon is clear to everyone. In Syria, we also witness new aggressions every day, and the amount of land occupied by this regime in the recent period is even greater than the area of Gaza."

The Foreign Minister added: "What happens in Lebanon is the decision of the Lebanese people, and what occurs in Syria concerns the Syrian people. We do not interfere in the internal affairs of countries, but it is natural for us to express our concerns and present our views in international forums."

He continued: "The condition for confronting great enemies is that unity does not remain merely in words; it must be accompanied by real actions. Issuing resolutions is necessary but not sufficient. The people of Gaza need food, water, and medicine today, and Islamic countries must stand by them with practical measures. Also, countries that still maintain diplomatic or trade relations with the Zionist regime must sever these relations, as this is a requirement of both reason and humanity, as well as a religious duty."

There is no military solution to the Iran issue

Araghchi noted: "This regime thought it could force the Islamic Republic of Iran to retreat with a surprise attack, but it made a major miscalculation."

The Deputy Foreign Minister added: "The US and the supporters of the Zionist regime realized that there is no military solution to the Iran issue. The only possible path is just diplomacy based on mutual respect and securing common interests. The Islamic Republic of Iran has never left the negotiating table and has always been ready for honorable and just dialogues."

He emphasized in conclusion: "Our enemies were counting on division, but in the 12-day war, it became clear that there is no difference between Shia and Sunni, Arab and Persian; everyone defended the country under a single unified identity named Iran."
