TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sunday, October 5, 2025, after participating in a meeting with ambassadors, chargés d'affaires, and heads of foreign and international missions residing in Tehran, appeared before reporters and explained the latest developments in the field of foreign policy.
Referring to the purpose of holding this meeting for foreign diplomats, Araghchi stated that this meeting was held to explain the latest status of the discussions raised in New York, the actions in the Security Council, and the snapback issue.
He emphasized the need to provide explanations and acknowledged that it is necessary to speak openly and in detail with different countries so that they are informed of Iran's positions, the positions of the other party, and the diplomatic actions that have been taken.
The Iranian Foreign Minister noted that the other side’s overbearing response to all proposals was also clearly explained. Referring to the role of the 3 European countries, he said that these countries have made diplomacy more difficult, but stressed that diplomacy always exists and is intact.
However, Araqchi acknowledged that the three European countries will play a much smaller role in any future negotiated solution.
