Hamas Rejects US Claim of Imminent Attack in Gaza

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Hamas today, Sunday, in response to the US State Department’s statement and the accusations made in the statement against the movement, announced that it rejects the allegations made in the US State Department’s statement and denies the claim of an imminent attack or violation of the ceasefire.

The Hamas statement said: "The facts on the ground show otherwise. The occupying authorities themselves have formed, armed, and financed criminal gangs in the Gaza Strip that have committed murder, kidnapping, stealing aid trucks, and attacking Palestinian civilians. They have publicly confessed to their crimes through the media and a video that has been released, which clearly proves the occupation's involvement in spreading chaos and insecurity."

The Hamas movement emphasized that the police forces in Gaza, with widespread popular and social support, are fulfilling their national duty to pursue and arrest these criminal gangs and punish them based on clear legal mechanisms, to protect the lives of citizens and their public and private property.

In this statement, the Hamas movement called on the US government to stop repeating the misleading narrative of the Zionist occupation regime and instead, to prevent the occupation regime from continuing its repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement, which includes supporting these criminal gangs and providing them with safe havens in areas under its control.
