TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, Basem Naim, a Hamas leader, announced in an interview with the Associated Press that the movement is ready to discuss its weapons issue within the framework of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

He also welcomed the deployment of an international force on the borders to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and prevent tension.
Earlier, after meeting with the Egyptian intelligence service in Cairo, Hamas announced its opposition to the actions and plans of the Zionist occupation regime led by Benjamin Netanyahu to impose a new reality in Gaza and called on the mediators to immediately put pressure on the Israeli regime to stop its actions in violating the ceasefire.
Walid al-Kilani, the media representative for the Hamas movement in Lebanon, also stated a few hours ago that "the weapons of Resistance are legitimate weapons because the Palestinian people are under occupation," and emphasized that the Palestinian people consider negotiations over weapons to be a red line.
He said that the ceasefire agreement based on Trump's plan did not explicitly mention the disarmament of the Resistance, and Hamas had only agreed to some of the clauses that Trump had proposed.
