TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Anadolu, international reports indicate that more than 107,000 residents of the city of Fashir and its surrounding villages in the Darfur state in western Sudan were displaced during the period when the RSF ruled the city from October 26 to December 8 due to the spread of insecurity in the region.

These reports state that a total of 24,221 families have left the aforementioned areas, and 19% of them have reached other states in Sudan.
It has also been reported that this figure is not final and is likely to increase due to the ongoing conflicts in Sudan.
The civil war in Sudan began in April 2023 due to the intensification of disputes between the army and the RSF regarding the integration of these forces into the country's military establishment. These conflicts have left 13 million displaced.
