TEHRAN (Defapress) - In his speech at the international conference “Diplomacy and Resistance in the School of Lieutenant General Soleimani”, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi emphasized that Martyr Lieutenant General Soleimani was the architect of the Axis of Resistance in the region and stated: On the anniversary of Lieutenant General Soleimani's martyrdom, the legacy of this high-ranking martyr should be remembered for the country’s foreign policy.

Araghchi added: Iranian diplomacy is a Resistance-oriented diplomacy that was formed based on Resistance and moves on this basis. Negotiation is the art of diplomacy.
The Foreign Minister continued: Diplomacy alone does not lead anywhere, and what has an effect is the components of power. Diplomacy cannot create national interests for the country from nothing. Rather, it is the power and components of power that provide the national interests of the country.
He noted: Successful and efficient diplomacy is a combination of courage and prudence in relation to the world.
Araghchi added: Diplomacy alone cannot produce benefits for the country from nothing; rather, it is national capabilities that produce, multiply, and protect national interests. As a result, without having the components of national power, diplomacy cannot achieve its goals.
The Foreign Minister stated: Diplomacy is a combination of courage and prudence. Negotiation is the art of diplomacy, and strengthening diplomacy means reducing costs, institutionalizing achievements, and winning in peace and war, but what ultimately determines the path of diplomacy is the level and quality of the national power of countries.
He clarified: One of the less-explored aspects of power is “semantic power”, the most important component of which is the ability to create discourse. Discourse is a coherent set of values, perceptions, and beliefs of a society that can become the dominant belief and guide major decisions.
Araghchi continued, adding: The discourse of resistance has been one of the most important discourses of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the national, regional, and supra-regional levels, and Resistance-oriented diplomacy forms the basis of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, of which the Axis of Resistance is one of its dimensions.
Regarding the martyred Lieutenant General Soleimani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs said: Lieutenant General Soleimani was the concrete embodiment of Resistance, and with a strategic and supra-national perspective, he took the discourse of resistance out of the framework of theoretical concepts and slogans and turned it into a tangible and influential power in the equations of the West Asian region.
He noted: Sustainable security is not achieved only with high walls and arsenals of weapons, but is rooted in the firm will of a nation that is formed based on faith, sacrifice, and belief in truth and justice. The same legacy that Martyr Lieutenant General Soleimani left behind.
