TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights warned that the war in Sudan has brought the country to the brink of destruction.

He pointed to the repeated attacks by the RSF on Sudan's civilian infrastructure, including the Merowe Dam, which provided 70 percent of the country's electricity.
The UN official added that the attacks are cutting off hospital services and access to clean water for Sudanese, which could lead to the spread of infectious diseases.
He said the attacks could amount to war crimes. Extrajudicial executions, secret detentions and famine are rampant in Sudan.
