TEHRAN (Defapress) - Simultaneously with the brutal aggression of the Zionist regime against various regions of southern Lebanon and the suburbs of Beirut and the heroic defense of the Resistance fighters, the speech of Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah, began.

Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, emphasized today, Wednesday, that Israel has not adhered to the ceasefire agreement and has always violated it.
Stating that Hezbollah did not respond to the crimes of the Zionists in order not to be accused of disrupting diplomacy, Qassem said: "Our patience has a limit. We have said many times that Israel seeks expansionism."
Referring to Netanyahu's pursuit of the formation of a "Greater Israel," he noted: "Israel is an existential threat to us and the entire region."
Referring to Hezbollah's agreement with the diplomatic solution and considering it an opportunity for the government to accept its responsibility, Sheikh Naim Qassem said: "Despite this, Netanyahu said that he wants a Greater Israel. The US ambassador to the regime also supports him and considers the formation of Israel from the Euphrates to the Nile a legitimate right."
He considered the government’s decision to disarm the Lebanese resistance a big mistake and said: These decisions weakened the Lebanese government’s position and legitimized Israeli attacks. We have a duty to stop this dangerous process with all our might.
The Secretary General of Hezbollah considered the martyrdom of 500 people over 15 months to be enough to begin responding to Israel’s crimes and noted: According to UN and Lebanese army statistics, there have been more than 10,000 violations of sovereignty, and no one is helping the Lebanese people.
Sheikh Naim Qassem considered Hezbollah’s missile attacks a response to Israel’s crimes and said: These missiles are a response to 15 months of Israeli violations of the agreement and aggression against us. Among these aggressions was the attack on the great religious authority, Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
He continued: "Instead of confronting the condemnation of the Israeli-American aggression and finding a way to confront it, the Lebanese government turned to Resistance to complete its mistake and coordinate with Israel's demands. As long as the occupation exists, Resistance and its weapons are a legitimate right."
Hezbollah Secretary General stated that "we will confront this aggression, and this is a vital defense for us that will continue until the goals are achieved," adding: "We will confront them to the end of our lives and we will not surrender."
Sheikh Naim Qassem, pointing out that Hezbollah will defeat Israel in this war, said: "National unity is essential in these circumstances. We must unite to confront this enemy and then discuss and agree on our other issues."
Stating that Hezbollah is fighting to defend the Lebanese people, he said: "What we want is an end to the war and Israel's retreat. We have a duty to continue defending and thwarting the enemy's goals."
