TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, held separate telephone conversations with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath regarding regional developments following the military aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran and bilateral relations.

While describing the crimes committed by the Zionist regime and the United States in the past few days in the military aggression against Iran, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized the responsibility of all governments and the United Nations to firmly condemn the criminal actions of the United States and the Zionist regime.
The Foreign Minister of Iran strongly condemned the US crime of targeting the Dena frigate in international waters, two thousand miles away from the Iranian coast, without warning, and emphasized the legal and international follow-up of this crime in international authorities.
Araghchi also thanked Sri Lanka for its efforts in the rescue operation of the Dena frigate sailors, emphasizing the importance of protecting and safeguarding Iranian ships and the health of their crews.
The parties emphasized the importance of continuing contacts and consultations between the two countries.
