TEHRAN (Defapress) - In response to the deadline and threats of the US President, the Russian permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mikhail Ulyanov, wrote in a message on his Telegram channel today: “Washington cannot understand that Tehran does not accept ultimatums. Iran accepts agreements based on reasonable compromises.”

The US president, who has become frustrated with the Strait of Hormuz remaining closed as a result of his warmongering against Iran, threatened yesterday that he would bomb Iranian power plants if this important waterway was not opened within 48 hours.
In an interview with Fox News today, he announced that his main goal in invading Iran is to seize Iranian oil and threatened once again that "if Iran doesn't come to an agreement quickly... you'll see bridges and power plants collapse all over their country."
The US president also claimed to be negotiating with Iran in an interview with Axios, saying: "Negotiations with the Iranians are going well, but we can't reach the finish line with them."
