China Expresses Concern Over Consequences of US Piracy in Persian Gulf

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to RIA Novosti, the spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Guo Jiakun, stated: "We express our concern over the forced seizure of an Iranian ship by the US."

He added: "We hope that all relevant parties will responsibly abide by the ceasefire agreement, avoid escalating tensions, and create the necessary conditions for the restoration of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz."

Earlier, the Spokesperson of the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) announced in a statement: "The aggressive America violated the ceasefire and maritime piracy by firing at an Iranian merchant ship in the waters of the Sea of ​​Oman and disabling its navigation system by landing a number of its terrorist marines on the deck of the vessel in question."

He stated: "We warn that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon respond and retaliate against this armed piracy by the US military."
