Equipping Iranian Armed Forces Infantry Units with Semi-Heavy Machine Guns
TEHRAN (Defapress) - Mohammad Zarchini - Although the illegitimate and illegal war imposed by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran has been stopped for some time with a temporary ceasefire, the possibility of resuming the battle, especially the start of a long-term ground war, has increased, given the shameful history of the United States in launching a military attack during negotiations and the Americans' refusal to accept Iran's 10 conditions.

Some military analysts also believe that there is a possibility that the United States will enter the second phase of the battle with Iran; therefore, the necessary measures in this regard must be considered by the commanders of Iran. Jiang, a political and military analyst, says in this regard: A ground invasion by the United States of America may be carried out against Iran, and this could bring great dangers to the United States.
It seems that the terrorist army of the United States, under the orders of a foolish and ignorant president like Donald Trump, will be forced to take any action, and therefore a possible ground attack is not out of the question; therefore, the necessary measures must be taken for a ground battle with the CENTCOM terrorists; as the commanders of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the commander of the ground forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the commander of the ground forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, have announced the readiness of these forces to confront any enemy invasion.
Among the equipment that is effective in ground combat with the enemy are semi-heavy machine guns, and the infantry units of the Army and the Revolutionary Guards can demonstrate a good performance in defending the country in a ground war by having semi-heavy machine guns.
In general, these machine guns can have the following functions for use by infantry units:
1- Destroying and preventing enemy movements for ground advancement
2- Countering preemptive operations by enemies against the personnel and equipment of the infantry units of the armed forces
Among the most important semi-heavy machine guns that have also been used specifically in the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are the "Akhgar" and "Muharram" semi-heavy machine guns. These machine guns, with their extremely high rate of fire, can defeat the special units of the US terrorist army’s ground forces, including the “82nd Airborne Division” (which the US Army Chief of Staff proudly introduces whenever a ground battle is discussed).
"Akhgar" Semi-Heavy Machine Gun
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army Ground Forces have been unveiling engineering and experimental samples of their Gatling multi-barreled machine gun called “Akhgar” for several years, which was built by specialists from the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army Ground Forces.

This Iranian weapon, which has so far been seen on small tactical and mobile vehicles such as the “Renger” and “Samander” (which were also designed and built by the Iranian Army Ground Forces), has a 7.62 mm caliber and 6 barrels. The maximum rate of fire of this weapon is stated to be 4,000 to 5,000 rounds per minute, and its final range is over a thousand meters. It also seems that the rotational motion of its barrels is provided by an electric force.
The complete construction, production, and use of the six-barreled Akhgar weapon is a good introduction to the development of larger-caliber models of this weapon for land and air defense, especially for use in naval vessels. It is clear that the possession of weapons by the warriors of Islam, the depth of whose effect the enemy is also aware of, will change their calculations in the field of land battles. This unparalleled firepower of the Iranian Akhgars, combined with the high mobility of the various tactical vehicles produced, is another effective arrow in the bow of the defenders of this border and territory.
The Moharram Semi-Heavy Machine Gun
The Iranian weapon "Moharram" showed that the knowledge of manufacturing advanced Gatling guns is indigenous and proven in Iran. This Iranian weapon uses a 12.7 mm caliber; of course, these two weapons are the same caliber as the Iranian Moharram, but they use three and four barrels, respectively. The Iranian weapon uses 6 barrels and can be considered the only operational 12.7 mm Gatling gun with six barrels in the world.

General Dan Keene, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US terrorist army, and Brad Cooper, the commander of the CENTCOM terrorist complex, have repeatedly stated that they are ready to resume the war with Iran and have emphasized that the US Navy and Army Marines are ready to take action against Iran on important islands of Iran, including Kharg, Kish, Qeshm, Siri, Lavan, Abu Musa, Lesser Tunb and Greater Tunb. Therefore, the Akhgar and Moharram machine guns with a very high rate of fire can be a deterrent against the US terrorist army in a possible ground invasion.
