TEHRAN (Defapress) - Hossein Tangsiri, son of Martyr General Alireza Tangsiri (former commander of the IRGC Navy), explained his positions on the Third Imposed War and the management of the Strait of Hormuz in an interview with Vice News.

We Will Retaliate in the Gulf of Mexico or San Francisco

Emphasizing that the right to respond to the American-Zionist aggression remains intact, Hossein Tangsiri clarified: The right to respond and retaliate is fully reserved for Iran.

Referring to the scenario of the start of the war by the enemies, he said: “The war against Iran began with the assassination of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and his family. We will no longer allow any of America’s assets and bases in the region to remain safe, and all of America’s interests, military bases, and warships in the region will be legitimate targets for Iran.”

An important part of this interview was dedicated to the sovereign status of the Strait of Hormuz. The son of the former commander of the IRGC Navy, recalling that the Strait of Hormuz is within Iran’s territorial waters, referred to the blockade of this strait and said: “If anyone does not obey our laws, we will show them our authority, because these waters belong to us. In normal conditions and a state of peace, we would allow passage, but in war conditions, the rules of the game change. These are our territorial waters, and it is we who determine who has the right to pass, how, and under what conditions.”

Tangsiri considered Iran’s military logic to be based on the jurisprudential and ideological principles of the Abrahamic religions, saying: “The principle of an eye for an eye and a hand for a hand is mentioned in the Bible. This is a kind of jurisprudential right of retaliation. The era of hit-and-run is over, and it is not like the enemy does something and runs away. We will definitely respond, even if this retaliation is in the Gulf of Mexico or in San Francisco.”

At the end of the interview, the Vice News reporter asked Hossein Tangsiri if his father was afraid or hesitant when he found out he was on the assassination list. In response to this question, the son of Sardar Tangsiri said: “We believe that death is not the end, but rather a transcendence and ascension to a higher position and much better conditions. That is why our commanders welcome such an outcome and success.”
