Interaction with Sanaa Is in Accordance with Relevant Security Council Resolutions

TEHRAN (Defapress) - In response to US claims against Iran-Yemeni relations, the Iranian mission to the United Nations wrote in a message: Ansar Allah represents a significant part of the Yemeni people, and Iran recognizes the Sanaa authorities as legitimate representatives.

The mission added: Iran's interaction with the Sanaa authorities is in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions and aims to support a Yemeni-led process to achieve a united Yemen while preserving the country's sovereignty, territorial integrity and national unity. The United Nations has repeatedly benefited from this interaction in advancing the Yemeni peace process.

The message continued: The US claim in the Security Council meeting that Iran is exploiting the trip of the Yemeni delegation participating in the funeral ceremony of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran to transfer military equipment is completely baseless.

The Iranian mission to the United Nations noted: This is a fabricated accusation that has been made to mislead the Security Council and divert attention from the heinous crimes that the US is committing against the Iranian people.
