TEHRAN (Defapress) - In response to a question from reporters about the Iran-Oman talks on the Strait of Hormuz, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmail Baghaei said: Several rounds of talks were held between Iran and Oman at the level of deputy foreign ministers in Tehran on Friday and Saturday, during which the two sides exchanged views on common principles and operational mechanisms for managing safe shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz while respecting the sovereign rights of the two coastal states.

Emphasizing that these talks were useful and that progress was made, Baghaei stated that the Omani delegation left Tehran on Saturday evening, but technical and political consultations between the two sides are continuing.

The Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also responded to a question about the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz, saying: "There has been no change in the traffic crossing in the Strait of Hormuz."
