Kim Stresses Deepening Strategic Partnership with Putin

TEHRAN (Defapress) - In a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un emphasized the unprecedented deepening and strengthening of bilateral relations between Pyongyang and Moscow.

In the message, which was issued on the occasion of the anniversary of Korea's liberation from Japanese colonialism in World War II, Kim Jong Un proudly recalled the current level of relations and expressed hope that the long-standing friendship and joint cooperation between the two countries would continue in all areas. The North Korean leader also emphasized that the two countries are walking shoulder to shoulder in defending national sovereignty, security and independence.

In turn, Vladimir Putin, in his reciprocal message, also emphasized that bilateral cooperation between Russia and North Korea has reached an unprecedented level of strategic partnership. The Russian President noted that the two countries are making joint and coordinated efforts to strengthen regional stability and security, and that this cooperation will expand across all political, economic, and defense sectors.
