Enemy Will Face a Different Iran If It Makes Another Mistake

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Yaqub Rezazadeh, Secretary of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasized Iran's complete control over the Strait of Hormuz during an interview with Defapress. He warned that in the event of any miscalculation or renewed aggression, the enemy would face a fundamentally different approach and a far more decisive, crushing response than in the past.

Referring to the latest security and operational situation in the region, Rezazadeh stated that all movements in the Strait of Hormuz remain under the full surveillance of Iran's Armed Forces, with the country's defense readiness at its highest possible level.

Highlighting the legislative and supervisory measures taken by the parliament, he noted that a 15-article bill concerning the control of the Strait of Hormuz has been reviewed by the National Security Commission, with 14 articles drafted and approved in coordination with security agencies.

The Secretary of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission further compared the nation's defense capabilities, asserting that Iran has brought its deterrence capacity to its peak by upgrading its defense infrastructure. He emphasized that the continuous presence of the Armed Forces, including the IRGC, along the shores and Strait of Hormuz remains at 100% readiness, and no aggression or infiltration will be permitted to hostile parties.

These statements come in response to recent claims and positions taken by Western officials regarding maritime security in the Persian Gulf. Officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran have consistently maintained that the security of maritime supply lines and the Strait of Hormuz can only be ensured through the cooperation of regional nations, warning that any foreign adventurism will be met with a firm response from Iran.
