Iranian FM Challenges West's Stance on Chemical Attacks"Where is the West in condemning the chemical attack in Aleppo by terrorists?" Zarif asked on his twitter page on Sunday.

He challenged the western states' pattern and policies towards chemical attacks, and said, "Chemical weapons (are) only condemned if alleged to be used by an enemy; not an ally. A blind eye turned when Saddam used them against Iran (during the Iraqi-imposed war in 1980s), but war waged to destroy them when he was an enemy (2003)."

Earlier today, Syria's SANA news agency reported that at least 107 civilians were hospitalized after militants fired shells at Aleppo, containing toxic gases. Many cases of asphyxiation were reported.

On Saturday, Surya government TV channel reported that the shelling targeted a crowded Nile Street, Al-Khalidiyah and Jam'iyat al-Zahra neighborhoods. Police blamed al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) terrorist group for the attack.

The Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said Russian military chemical experts had arrived in Aleppo. According to the general, preliminary data indicates that chlorine was used in the attack.
