Iran's Government Spokesperson cautions Israel against overstep the mark

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to the IRNA report,  Fatemeh Mohajerani, the spokesperson for the Iranian government, stated that Operation True Promise II was executed with the endorsement of President Pezeshkian, who serves as the head of the Supreme National Security Council, where the defense minister also holds a significant position as a member.

She noted that the Iranian government exercised restraint for two months following the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, who was a guest of Iran and attended the inauguration ceremony of the Iranian president but was tragically martyred by the occupying Zionist regime, as it aimed to facilitate a ceasefire in Gaza.

During the eight years of the Sacred Defense, she emphasized, "We have demonstrated our unwavering commitment to the defense of our nation."

On October 1, Iran retaliated against the Israeli assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC General Abbas Nilforushan by launching approximately 200 ballistic missiles targeting the military and intelligence installations of the Zionist regime throughout the occupied Palestinian territories.

President Masoud Pezeshkian remarked on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic will undoubtedly deliver a more robust response to Israel should the regime react to Iran’s retaliatory actions.
