Barriers to Ceasefire Agreement Removed

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, Ahmad Abdul Hadi, the representative of the Hamas movement in Lebanon, stated: For the first time, the Hamas negotiating team got through the mediators that the Zionist regime is very serious about reaching an agreement; an agreement that will end the Zionist regime's 15-month aggression on the Gaza Strip, the genocidal war and the commission of crimes and the starvation of the Palestinian people.

Abdul Hadi added: "Accordingly, all the issues that were in dispute and remained were resolved in the Doha talks because Hamas showed great flexibility in reaching an agreement in negotiation."

He emphasized: "I can say that now it's Netanyahu's turn and he is the only one who can sign this agreement or, as usual, block it."

Abdul Hadi continued: "The current negotiations are not based on reaching a partial agreement, but on three stages; in the first stage, some Zionist prisoners will be released in exchange for several other Palestinian prisoners, including children, women, the sick and the elderly. In the second stage, soldiers will be exchanged, and in the third stage, the bodies of the prisoners will be exchanged. During all these stages, a permanent ceasefire and a complete withdrawal of the occupiers from the Gaza Strip will be negotiated."

He clarified that the Hamas movement has requested a clear roadmap to ensure that the text of the agreement presented by the Zionist regime is disciplined and includes a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

The senior Hamas figure noted: "The general atmosphere of the negotiations indicates that this agreement is comprehensive, not partial, and guarantees a complete end to the aggression and a complete withdrawal of the enemy from the Gaza Strip."

He also said: "The mediating parties are now waiting for the official position of the Zionists and the signing of the agreement. In the last moments of the negotiations, Netanyahu set conditions that Hamas dealt with gently to complete the agreement. There is no longer any justification or argument for Netanyahu to prevent this agreement as in the past. Everything is supposed to go well, but we cannot be sure, because Netanyahu is known for deceit."
