Severe Shortage of Medical Staff at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza

TEHRAN (Defapress) -  Al-Shifa Hospital, one of the largest medical centers in the Gaza Strip, is currently facing a severe humanitarian crisis and destruction of infrastructure. 

Based on field observations, limited parts of the hospital are operational with minimal facilities, while other parts have been closed or partially closed due to extensive damage.

The situation of the hospital’s medical and nursing staff is far more worrying. Many of them are caring for patients while suffering from malnutrition and dehydration themselves due to a severe shortage of food and water.
