Window of Diplomacy Is Still Open

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Saeed Khatibzadeh, the Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister, stated in an interview with Al-Mayadeen: “The window of diplomacy is still open and diplomacy is always more attractive than escalating tensions.”

He warned the 3 European countries: The European Troika is providing an excuse to create more tension, and 3 three countries should be cautious.

Hours ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the illegal action of the 3 European countries to return the Security Council resolutions in a statement.

The UN Security Council meeting was held to review the resolution “Continuing the lifting of sanctions against Iran” before the end of the 30-day deadline for the trigger mechanism process.

The reporter of Al-Mayadeen reported that 9 members of the Security Council voted against extending the lifting of UN sanctions against Iran, only 4 members approved it, and 2 members abstained.
