TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in his speech: I congratulate all countries that intend to recognize the state of Palestine, because they respected the voice of justice.
He added: Human suffering in the Gaza Strip is increasing, and attacks continue. The Netanyahu government aims to make the formation of a Palestinian state impossible, but the voice of Palestine has become a global issue.
Erdogan added: The Netanyahu government is committing genocide against its neighbors, and standing up to Israel's oppression is a moral responsibility.
He emphasized: Israel is seeking to destroy the two-state solution. Tel Aviv is seeking insecurity in the region; a ceasefire must be established, and Israeli forces must withdraw from the Gaza Strip.
The "Two-State Solution" conference, hosted by France and Saudi Arabia and attended by dozens of world leaders, to recognize an independent Palestinian state, began in New York on Monday night (Tehran time).
The goal of the meeting is to garner support for the two-state solution, and it is expected that several countries will officially recognize the state of Palestine, a move that could lead to strong reactions from Israel and the United States.
The conference began with a speech by French President Emmanuel Macron.
