Americe Is Seeking to Steal Venezuela's Mineral Resources

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro stated in a speech: "The whole world knows that the economic class ruling the United States is after Venezuela's oil, gas, and gold. The issue is not at all related to drug trafficking, and they know this well."

He emphasized that his country has the largest oil reserves in the world and that no one can remove Venezuela from the global energy equation.

Maduro announced that a series of operations had been carried out to arrest a group of mercenaries linked to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

The Venezuelan president also accused the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago of "conspiracy and propaganda for war," and said that this action was due to his "personal, physical, mental, and moral weaknesses."

He added: "Their goal in Venezuela is to change the government to steal oil, gas, and gold."

Referring to foreign pressure, Maduro said: "Now is the time to choose; either we side with the warmongers who want death and violence, or we stand beside free life."

He also announced that, following the threats, he had agreed to all the legal consequences of canceling energy agreements with Trinidad and Tobago and everything that had been agreed in this regard.

Maduro concluded by saying: Tomorrow, a working meeting will be held with the presence of hundreds of economic activists from advanced Russian industries and a similar number of Venezuelan businessmen."
