We Are Facing Colonial-era Piracy

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Mayadeen, Jorge Rodriguez, President of the National Assembly of Venezuela, said in response to the US action to seize several oil tankers off the coast of Venezuela: "Caracas today is facing a scenario of piracy that was common during the colonial era."

He added: "The representatives of the Venezuelan National Assembly have unanimously agreed to a bill to guarantee freedom of navigation and trade against piracy and blockade."
