TEHRAN (Defapress) - In an interview with Defapress correspondent, Seyed Reza Sadr Al-Husseini, an international affairs expert, stated regarding the US military operation in Venezuela: Considering the significant pressure that the Americans had brought to the Venezuelan nation for nearly a decade, and the people, based on their own Bolivarian Revolution, continued to support the government that emerged from the revolution and the officials and officials they had freely elected, the US regime was forced to carry out a military and kidnapping attack.

Sadr Al-Husseini added: In fact, the Americans have proven once again that they do not hesitate to violate any of the international rules and rights stated in the administration of countries to achieve their material interests, such as oil and Venezuelan territory.
The international affairs expert continued: The recent US action in Venezuela shows the inadequacy of international institutions, including the United Nations, which unfortunately did not see any appropriate and significant response from this international institution during the continuous crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza.
He noted: In fact, the UN Security Council, given that it is responsible for global stability, peace and tranquillity, has done the least amount of work in recent decades to protect the rights of nations, and in fact, the Americans have weakened this international institution with all their might and violated international laws and regulations.
Sadr Al-Husseini added: Of course, there is still no accurate information about the fate and future of the government in Venezuela, but what is important is that, unfortunately, this illegal and inhumane action is considered an achievement by Trump, and he has announced to the oil cartels that you will soon be able to go to Venezuela and use the oil there.
The international affairs expert stated: The important point is that it seems that Trump's America does not believe in any of the laws and regulations stated in the United Nations and looks at the world with a jungle-like gaze. In fact, by attacking and kidnapping the President of Venezuela, the United States has violated several international laws, and the international observer, which is the United Nations Security Council and the High Commissioner for Human Rights of this organisation, must be held accountable.
He clarified: This violation of international laws includes such things as violating the United Nations Charter, which prohibits any use of force against the territorial integrity and independence of countries, violating the 1973 Convention, a treaty that the United States has also signed, and the international crime of kidnapping the president, and violating the ruling of the Hague Tribunal (2002), which indicates the absolute immunity of incumbent presidents and that no foreign court has the right to issue an arrest warrant for them.
Sadr al-Husseini added: In fact, with these actions, despite the slogan of developing peace, Trump has started a widespread war in different parts of the world. It can also be stated that it seems that the current situation or conditions of the world are a very sensitive and fragile situation from the point of view of laws, rules and international relations, and that independent countries must take measures to prevent such violations immediately and collectively.
The international affairs expert concluded: It seems that once again, the Western-leaning supporters of America in different parts of the world should take a close look at the recent developments in Venezuela and no longer insist on dialogue and negotiation and emphasise adherence to international rules and laws in dealing with the United States.
