TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Defapress corespondent, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, the Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics, during a visit to the performance of the "Paya" satellite, manufactured by space experts of the Ministry of Defense's Iran Electronic Industry Company, which was recently launched into space and successfully placed in Earth's orbit, in the presence of journalists, stated: A few days ago, we successfully launched three satellites and placed them in orbit, one of which (Paya) was the result of the efforts of the Ministry of Defense's scientists at Iran Electronic Industry Company.

Brigadier General Naserzadeh, while stating that Paya is the heaviest satellite launched by our colleagues at Iran Electronic Industry Company, added: Today, along with the staff of the Iranian Space Organization, we visited this complex and the performance of the Paya satellite, and witnessed very good close cooperation with all active sectors in this field, which has led to synergies and good advancements in the aerospace field.
The Minister of Defense continued: Today, we witnessed the passage of the Paya satellite over Iran at a specific hour, and in this center, we observed live images, which was a very proud moment.
He stated: We have future plans in this field, which we are implementing in cooperation with the Space Organization, and today, we became aware of the progress during this visit, which we will put into practice next year.
Brigadier General Naserzadeh reminded: Nearly 34 years ago, the activity in the field of space began in the Ministry of Defense, and about 27 years have passed since the first satellite launch, and we have reached maturity in this field.
The Minister of Defense, stating that the space field cannot be ignored, added: Actors have entered this field, so we must be active in this field and perform our role well; because Iran is capable in this field.
He noted: "Universities, private sectors, and the Ministry of Defense have joint collaborations in this field and have achieved great successes; we see a very bright future, with many good plans in place, and we hope to be one of the space superpowers in the future."
