We Will Not Allow the Displacement of Palestinians to Somaliland

TEHRAN (Defapress) - Somali Foreign Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali on Monday evening opposed the transfer of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to the separatist region in the north of the country.

Abdi Ali said in an interview with Al Jazeera: “We do not accept any expulsion or displacement of Palestinians and we will not allow the transfer of Palestinians to Somaliland.”

Stating that the Zionist regime’s declaration does not change Somalia’s borders, he explained: “Thirty days have passed since Israel’s decision, but no international organization has recognized Somaliland.”

The Somali diplomat also added: “Forcing Palestinians to migrate to Somaliland or establishing [Israeli] military bases there is unacceptable.”
