We Confront All Forms of Dependency
TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al-Manar, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, delivered a speech at the Muharram mourning ceremony that Hezbollah is holding at the shrine of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Sheikh Naim Qassem said that in this speech, he will discuss the concept of victory (Nasr) and emphasized: We, as Hezbollah in Lebanon, believe that “Hussain is our path,” meaning Muhammad (PBUH) is our path, meaning Islam is our path, meaning the religion of God Almighty is our path. The foundations and principles on which we act are national, humane, and moral principles, which are the highest principles on earth.
He continued: "We oppose all forms of dependence, and whenever the enemy confronts us with weapons, we will confront him with weapons. We have not accepted occupation; whenever the enemy confronts us with soft war, we will confront him with the same (soft war), and whenever he wants to impose something on us, we reject it and raise our voice of protest using the existing tools that enable us to resist."
The Hezbollah Secretary General clarified: "We adhered to the Taif Agreement and the constitution, limited political differences within the framework of internal unity, believed in the liberation of the land, and pointed our weapons at this enemy. Since we are carrying out these titles under the name of the Husseini Movement, this means that we are victorious. Every step in which we reject occupation is considered a victory for us. We were created free and chose to stand against oppression, not to be burdened by slavery, occupation, and guardianship, and to reject the projects of others."
Sheikh Naim Qassem added: We confront all kinds of political, cultural, educational, and moral dependencies; and whenever the enemy confronts us with weapons, we also confront him with weapons. Whoever fights jihad in any way means that he is victorious. We are not afraid of death, and this is an inseparable part of victory. We are a group that is not afraid of death, and we are always victorious against those who threaten us with death. The death that the enemy threatens is actually not an effective weapon. Even if none of us remain, we will do our duty, and that is why we are not afraid of death.
The Secretary General of Hezbollah noted: The enemy could not break our beliefs, steadfastness, and continuity, and could not prevent us from being present in the field and enduring all the hardships and sanctions. Heavy losses are insignificant compared to the cost of surrender and defeat. The people follow the path of Hussein (AS), and the followers of Hussein do not respond in the manner of Yazid. If we can achieve victory, why should we surrender? I invite you to uphold the rule of religious duty, but the final victory is in the hands of God.
Sheikh Naim Qassem clarified: We are victorious because our actions are for God Almighty. Every day we continue to stand, we are victorious. Whoever has victory in his belief and existence is victorious. The fact that we prevent the enemy from achieving its goals is a victory in itself.
