TEHRAN (Defapress) The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not just a cooperation document signed between Iran and the western countries, but it is an international document for peaceful use of nuclear energy and consolidation of peace in the world, Iranian Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Massoumeh Ebtekar said in a meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
The Iranian vice president thanked Indonesian support for Iran's nuclear deal, and called for improvement of all-out ties between the two Muslim states.
During the meeting, the Indonesian president, for his part, welcomed Iran's role in promotion of moderate Islam, and called for two countries' cooperation to fight common challenges, including extremism and violence.
The Indonesian official called for development of cooperation with Iran in all fields, in particular trade and economy.
The Vice President of Iran for Women and Family Affairs arrived in Jakarta, the Indonesian capital, on Tuesday to participate in a meeting of Islamic scholars and figures named Moderate Islam.
Ebtekar partakes in the event at the invitation of Indonesian President's Special Envoy for Dialogue and Interreligious Cooperation and Civilization Din Syamsuddin. The conference will be held in Bogor, located 60 kilometers south of Jakarta.
Addressing the Indonesian Women's Congress is said to be in Ebtakar's schedule in her visit.
