Rifts are widening among ISIL commanders amid the Syrian Army troops' devastating advances in the two main bases of the terrorists in the Southern part of Damascus province on Monday.

ISIL Leadership in Southern Damascus Collapsing as Syrian Army Tightens Noose on TerroristsTEHRAN (FNA)-The army men stormed ISIL's strongholds in Hajar al-Aswad region, imposing control over Municipality Square and several buildings between the square and main crossroad of al-Jazeerah neighborhood.

Also, other units of the army fortified their positions Northwest of Hajar al-Aswad and South of Yarmouk Camp.

According to field reports, only a small part of Northwest Hajar al-Aswad is still under ISIL's control, adding that the remaining ISIL-held areas include dense building blocs.

In the meantime, the army's artillery and aircraft struck and destroyed a large number of ISIL positions, supply lines and tunnels in the same region.

Field sources said that the ISIL has started using sniper attacks to slow down the government forces' rapid advances.

In a similar development on Sunday the army men stormed ISIL's positions Southwest of the Yarmouk Camp and seized control of the Yarmouk street from the start of the vehicles bazaar to an area between Yarmouk Camp and the Northern part of Hajar al-Aswad region.

The army soldiers further managed to impose full control over the Western part of the Yarmouk Camp from al-Batikheh square up to the South of vehicles bazaar and East of the main street in Yarmouk and West of the 30th street in the camp.

In the meantime, other units of the army continued to advance against ISIL North of Hajar al-Aswad and captured several building.

Also, other army men struck ISIL's positions and managed to drive terrorists out of al-Jazeera neighborhood Northwest of Hajar al-Aswad.
