Iran’s Parliamentary Body Condemns Israel’s New Law against PalestiniansTEHRAN (Defapress) –“This wrong action, which is a flagrant violation of the United Nations resolutions and contravenes the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the right to return and self-determination, is rejected by all nations of the world,” the Permanent Secretariat of the International Conference on Supporting Palestinian Intifada said in a statement released on Sunday.

“The Zionist regime (of Israel) will eventually have to abolish this racist law,” the statement added.

“Undoubtedly, the flimsy and fake Zionist regime has played out this racist scenario in the Knesset after recently facing defeats in Gaza and acknowledging impotence and fear of the consequences of the Great March of Return… to deprive the Palestinian refugees of their right to return and to eliminate the identity of the Palestinians in the occupied territories,” the Iranian parliamentary body said.

On Thursday, Israel’s parliament (Knesset) adopted a controversial bill that declares the occupying entity “the nation-state of the Jewish people.”

The law prioritizes “Jewish” values over democratic ones in the occupied territories, declares Jerusalem al-Quds the “capital” of Israel, allows Jewish-only communities, sets Hebrew as the official language of Israel and relegates Arabic from an official language to one with “special status.”
