Russian analyst lashes out at Riyadh for journo's murderSemyon Arkadyevich Bagdasarov told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Tuesday that the world community is seeking for an appropriate answer from Saudi rulers for the killing of the investigative journalist.

He said Saudi Arabia is gripped with the biggest political crisis in history to the extent that more oil sale cannot be a remedy for its windfall problems.

He added that instead of trying to solve the problem of Khashoggi's murder through judicial means and cooperation with Turkish judicial system, Saudi government resorted to lies, which manifests ethical crisis in Saudi ruling elite.

Such a conduct provoked discontent among Saudi people, resulting in Saudi rulers' disgrace internationally, he further said.

Jamal Khashoggi, a critic of Saudi crown prince Muhammad bin Salman and a journalist went to Saudi Arabia Consulate in Istanbul on October 2 to go through the registration process of his marriage with a Turkish citizen. He disappeared after entering the consulate.

His fiancée, after ensuring that Jamal didn't leave the consulate, called police and Turkish authorities. But al-Saud officials denied everything for 18 days.

Al Saud's government was finally forced to confess to the crime because of the international society pressure and issued a statement stating that Khashoggi was murdered in the Saudi consulate building in Istanbul, claiming that he was killed after a fistfight.
