The Iran's President and his companions were martyred

TEHRAN (defapress) - The helicopter carrying the president, which had traveled to East Azerbaijan to open the "Qiz qalasi" border dam, had an accident on the way back in "Dizmar Forest" in the area between Varzeghan and Jolfa in East Azerbaijan province.

President Raeesi, Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian, Friday prayer leader of Tabriz Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Al-e-Hashem, Governor of East Azerbaijan Malek Rahmati, and members of the president’s security team and the crew were among the passengers of this helicopter.

The wreckage of the helicopter was found by rescue teams in the wee hours of Monday. 

The president’s convoy included three helicopters. Two of the choppers carrying number of ministers and officials had landed safely in the foggy weather.
