Masoud Pezeshkian became the ninth president of the Islamic Republic of Iran

TEHRAN (defapress) - The spokesperson for Iran's election headquarters, Mohsen Eslami, announced that based on the votes, Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian is considered to be elected in the 14th term of Iran's presidential election.

He added that regarding the amount of participation, it should be noted that based on the number of ballots used by voters, which is equal to 30,573,931 votes, the percentage of participation is 49.8.

It should be mentioned that Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the ninth president of Iran, was born in 1954 and has a subspecialty degree in heart surgery.

He held the position of Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education from 2001 to 2005.

Pezeshkian was the representative of the people of Tabriz, Azarshahr, and Esku in the parliament for 5 terms.

The elected president was also the vice chancellor of the 10th term of the Islamic consultative assembly.
