Tensions between Biden and Netanyahu are rising

TEHRAN (Defapress) - An official source in the Joe Biden administration told the Israeli newspaper Haaretz on Saturday that the American president has realized that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was lying to him over the war in the Gaza Strip.

The American official said that Netanyahu is ungrateful toward Washington and overlooks the substantial aid it has provided to Tel Aviv over the past 10 months of war in the besieged enclave.

"Biden realized that Netanyahu was lying to him about the hostages," the official told Haaretz daily. 

"He's not saying it publicly yet, but in the meeting between them, he specifically told him, 'Stop bullshitting me'," the official added.

Israel's Channel 12 News also reported on Saturday that during a conversation between Biden and Netanyahu on Thursday, Biden reportedly said, "Stop bullshitting me" after Netanyahu claimed that negotiations in Israel were "progressing" and that "a delegation will depart".

According to the report, Biden ended the conversation by stating, "Don't take the president for granted".

In response to the report, the Prime Minister's Office issued a statement later on Saturday, stressing, "The prime minister does not interfere in American politics and will work with whoever is elected president, just as he also expects the Americans not to interfere in Israeli politics".

In a condition where the Zionist regime is facing critical moments and on the edge of escalating tensions in the region, the growing division between Netanyahu and Biden can make the circumstances, harder than Israel's Prime Minister's expectation.
