The supremacy of fire in the sky

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Bavar 373 is the longest-range air defense missile system of the Iranian Armed Forces, which is considered a strategic and very important achievement in the field of air defense systems of our country. The Bavar 373 system contains several parts including the fire command and control center, target tracking radar, target detection and identification radar, and launchers. The Bavar 373 missile system is a long-range surface-to-air and self-propelled air defense missile system. 

Sayad 2, 3, and 4 missiles are the missiles used in this system and can destroy the specified targets at an altitude of 32 km and a range of 306 km. The optimized radar of this system can simultaneously detect 300 targets at a distance of more than 450 km, and the range of the tracking radar of this system has been increased to 405 km. Also, the range of the conflict radar of this system has been increased to 400 km.

The advantage of the Bavar 373 system compared to its foreign counterparts is that it can intercept 100 targets at a range of 405 kilometers. While the S300 can intercept 12 targets at a range of less than 200 km, the S400 system is also capable of intercepting 36 targets. Another feature of this system is the ability to target 9 targets simultaneously. But, S300 and PATRIOT can target 6 and 1 target respectively. 

Another point in the ability of this system that can be mentioned is that this system can effectively deal with all kinds of cruise missiles and helicopters. This system is also able to operate in environments contaminated with chemicals, radioactive radiation, and environments contaminated with microbial substances.   

Another feature of the Bavar 373 upgraded system is the ability to connect to the network, receive information, and process the information on the network.      

Thus, with all these capabilities, Iran's sky is safe from any foreign intruder aircraft, missile, or projectile.
