TEHRAN (Defapress) - Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, gave a speech this evening (Sunday) about the details of today's operation of the Lebanese Islamic Resistance against the positions of the Zionists.
Nasrallah said that the Zionist regime had reached this stage of escalation by targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut and martyring civilians and the great commander, Fawad Shekar.
He continued that we call today's operation against the Zionist regime "Operation Arbaeen Day".
The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah added that we set criteria for our response, including that the response should not be targeted civilians, this is even though the enemy targeted civilians in its attack on Dahieh.
He pointed out that we must maintain deterrence and not allow the enemy to violate the red lines. We pinpointed several targets that were located near Tel Aviv and identified the Gillot base, which is the central intelligence base of Israel and where the 8200 unit is located. We included the Ein Shemer airfield among our targets, 75 kilometers from Lebanon and 40 kilometers from Tel Aviv.
He continued that we targeted Israeli bases and barracks and positions on the northern front (bordering Lebanon) and the occupied Syrian Golan.
The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah clarified that we targeted the enemy's air and missile defense base at a distance of 75 kilometers from the borders of Lebanon. It was decided to fire 300 Katyusha rockets so that the Iron Dome system was engaged and the drones could pass.
Then Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah added that None of the drone launch pads we shot down or even damaged by the Zionist regime.
"In today's attack, for the first time, we shot drones from the Bekaa region", Nasrallah said.
He pointed out: Our information confirms that a significant number of drones have hit these two targets, but the enemy is censoring, but soon the truth will be revealed.
The casualties in Nahariya, Acre, and other areas, if any, were caused by Israeli interceptor missiles, Nasrallah said, adding that when Israel talked about destroying our strategic missiles, it lied because we did not use them, but we may use them in the future.
Nasrallah further argued that it had been said earlier that the delay in responding was part of the punishment of the Zionist enemy, but the other factor was the Gaza ceasefire negotiations and the consensus on how to respond to the Zionists.
Nasrallah added that it is clear that the negotiations are long and Netanyahu has begun imposing new conditions on the resistance in Gaza.
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed that we will not abandon Gaza and its people, Palestine, and the nation’s sanctities in Palestine, regardless of the circumstances, challenges, and sacrifices. Our operation today may be beneficial to the Palestinian or the Arab side concerning the negotiations and the message to the enemy and the Americans behind it that despite the sacrifices, especially on the Lebanese front, any hope of silencing the support fronts is disappointed. We are a people who cannot accept humiliation or bow our necks to anyone. We are fighting with reason, weapons, drones, and ballistic missiles that are hidden for a day that may come. The enemy must understand and be very careful about the nature of Lebanon and the strategic changes. Lebanon is no longer weak for you to occupy, but the day may come when we invade you with a band.
