TEHRAN (Defapress) - At the annual United Nations General Assembly, President Pezeshkian is anticipated to articulate the Islamic Republic's position on various international matters.

The president will address the UNGA session as well as the Summit of the Future, which is a significant high-level gathering.

Prior to his departure for New York, Pezeshkian delivered a speech at Mehrabad International Airport, where he criticized the United Nations' handling of the Israeli regime's actions. He emphasized that the UN is a crucial global organization, asserting that if it fulfills its responsibilities effectively, no nation would be able to attack others under misleading justifications.

In his statements, the Iranian President expressed a desire to meet with the Iranian diaspora and media representatives to convey Tehran's viewpoints and engage in discussions regarding peace, security, economic development, production, investment, and tourism.

During the General Assembly, President Pezeshkian is also scheduled to conduct meetings with leaders of the participating nations.
