TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, met with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, in Ankara today (Monday).
During the meeting, bilateral relations and the situation in the region, including developments in Syria and the issue of combating terrorism, were discussed.
Araqchi told reporters on Monday morning, before departing for Turkey: "Today I will have a detailed meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister. In any case, there are common concerns that need to be discussed."
He added: "Our consultations with Turkey have always been on various issues. We agree on many points and disagree on some points, and, naturally, we should talk to each other, I hope that I can reach a common understanding and perception on regional issues that will lead to regional stability, rather than Syria or the region becoming a center for terrorists again."
Iran's foreign minister also announced full support of Resistance groups against Takfiri terrorists.
