3 Killed in Aleppo Shooting

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Sputnik, Syrian sources reported a shooting in Aleppo in northern Syria.

The sources told the Russian media outlet that 3 people, including a doctor, were killed in a shooting by unidentified gunmen riding in a car in one of the neighborhoods of the city of Aleppo in northern Syria.

The sources also reported the kidnapping of 7 people, including women, and several robberies in the past 48 hours in Aleppo.

Meanwhile, the London-based Syrian Center for Human Rights said in a report on Saturday night: “Since last night until today, 14 civilians have been eliminated in the areas of Baniyas, Jableh and the western outskirts of Hama.” These incidents highlight the need to control weapons and limit them to government forces because, without control over weapons, the lives of Syrian citizens will be at risk. Inspections should only be carried out with official permission from the military command to prevent incidents such as kidnapping and killing of citizens by armed groups.

The center also stated that continued irregular entry into the aforementioned areas could cause a serious disaster and this issue requires close monitoring by the operational management.
